A total of 985 students from Malvar Senior High School took the National Achievement Test (NAT), Jan. 30-31.
The NAT, also called Basic Education Exit Assessment (BEEA), aims to determine if learners meet the learning standards, provide information to improve instructional practices; assess the effectiveness and efficiency of education service delivery using learning outcomes as indicators; and provide empirical information as basis for curriculum, learning delivery, assessment, policy reviews, and policy formulation.
The exam was administered for two days by examiners from select Junior High Schools in Malvar. On the first day, students took Science, Philosophy, Humanities, and Media Information Literacy. On the second day, they were given Mathematics, Language and Communication, and Social Science.
Before the actual day of the exam, numerous preparations including setting up of classrooms, posting of board work and codes, and cleaning were done to ensure that there would be no problem
